Art Mesh ยท Custom Weave ยท Landmark Installation

Custom bespoke architectural metal mesh for signature and feature applications โ€” public art installations, landmark facade elements, sculptural building components, and non-standard mesh objects. Every project begins with the design drawings. Every sample is approved in writing before production.

What This Is

Beyond the
Standard
Catalogue

Signature and feature applications exist outside the standard mesh specification range โ€” in form, scale, material, or surface treatment. They require a manufacturing partner who works from drawings, not from product codes.

Landmark facades, public art installations, and architectural feature objects cannot be ordered from a catalogue. They are defined by the design drawings โ€” geometry, material, surface treatment, structural interface โ€” and they require a manufacturing process that begins with feasibility, proceeds through staged sampling, and reaches production only when every parameter is confirmed.

Public Art & Sculpture
3D Form ยท Non-Standard Geometry

Architectural sculptures and public art objects in metal mesh. Complex three-dimensional forms โ€” cylinders, cones, faceted surfaces, and freeform shapes. Form is defined by 3D drawings. Staged sampling confirms the formed geometry before production.

Landmark Facade Element
Building Identity Component

Large-format facade feature elements with non-standard mesh specification โ€” custom wire diameter, unusual aperture pattern, or mixed weave density. Defined from architectural intent drawings and structural interface drawings together.

Custom Weave Pattern
Non-Standard Aperture & Density

Mesh with non-repeating or custom weave patterns for feature applications. Available in any of the standard material grades. Pattern development requires design drawings and a sample approval before production. Extended lead time โ€” confirmed at drawing review.

Specialty Surface
PVD ยท Pre-Patinated ยท Lacquered

Signature surface treatments for visual impact: PVD gold, rose gold, black, and custom tones. Pre-patinated brass and copper for immediate aged appearance. All surface treatments sampled and approved before production commitment.

Bespoke Project Process

How a Signature Feature Project Proceeds

01
Design Drawing Submission

Submit 3D design drawings, material specification, and intended application environment. For complex geometries, DXF or STEP files preferred. The drawing submission triggers a feasibility assessment โ€” not a quotation from a catalogue.

02
Feasibility Assessment

JBL Metal assesses the design against manufacturing capability: can the described geometry be produced in the specified material at the specified scale? Constraints are identified and documented โ€” never assumed away. The assessment is returned in writing within 6 business hours.

03
Staged Sampling

For complex forms: flat mesh sample โ†’ formed geometry sample โ†’ full prototype (if required). Each stage is approved in writing before proceeding. No stage is assumed to be approved because the previous stage was accepted. Written sign-off at each milestone.

04
Production Commitment

Production begins only after the final sample is approved in writing. Lead time, payment terms, and delivery logistics are confirmed in the production commitment document โ€” not verbally. The approved sample becomes the production reference standard.
