Defined by aperture and wire diameter
The relationship between aperture size and wire diameter determines open area percentage, light transmission, surface texture, and structural behaviour under load. Both parameters are specified per drawing.
Edge treatment is a structural decision
Welded edge, folded edge, loop edge, and rod-and-cable framing each carry different risk profiles. Edge treatment is specified based on load condition and installation interface โ€” not aesthetics.
Weave type affects mechanical behaviour
Plain weave, twill weave, and Dutch weave differ in flexibility, open area, and resistance to deformation. Selection is based on application environment, not visual preference.
